5 ways to be a good neighbor

5 ways to be a good neighbor

like many of us, Elizabeth didn't want his life to be the subject of work. She wanted to be part of a community and investing in it. She bought a house in Nashville, Tennessee and took the responsibility of owning a home and make his neighborhood a better place.

you just buy your first House, like Elizabeth, or whether the new kids on the block in a different city, we know all how it is important to have good relations with the neighbor next door. In fact, did you know that having good neighbours may even reduce your risk of heart attack? It is true. Here are 5 ways to be a good neighbor.

introduce yourself

it's all eyes on the "beginners" when my fiance and I moved into our new home. We made a point for us present and Exchange small talk with our neighbors on each side, in front and behind us. He gave us a chance to get an idea of the neighborhood, and he gave our neighbours peace of mind we've been friendly and accessible. Not to mention, we discovered day garbage, story on our home and the best place to go for a burger.

tip: "no one said you need to be besties with the person next door, but the phone numbers change just in case something happens, and you, or your neighbor, must be notified," said Mary Palumbo l Shockley of Keller Williams Realty team. She adds these bodies, "they leave their car lights on, there was smoke coming from the House, and a suspicious person is crawling around the yard."

keep your Yard looking Nice

do not be the horror of the neighborhood. Clean up the mess, mow the lawn and keep your trees and shrubs trimmed. Also, if the lawn you nearby is not on par with how it should be, do not mow for them. People are very particular about their lawn and their make a "favor" by a cut, it could make things worse. If you really feel the need, be sure to ask first. If you get leaves in the fall or the winter snow, picking them up and make sure your sidewalks are clear. It goes the same for your back yard. It's not a graveyard of old cars, junk and all that you do not find the storage for.

take responsibility for your pets

let not your dog or your cat use lawn of your neighbor as a toilet. If they do, clean and do not forget to clean your yard too. There is nothing worse that one fine day, open windows and the foul smell of the feces of pets.

If you have a noisy dog, don't forget to take into account their barking. Another thing to keep in mind is leash requirements. Check with your city before you go for a walk.

do not be too noisy

no one can if you wait you can be quiet as a mouse, but if you're sitting in your driveway blasting music at midnight or 06:30, there is a very good chance that you will make someone upset. In addition, be courteous when you mow your lawn or do yardwork. No one wants to hear a lawnmower lawn at 07:00 on Saturday. If you're having a party and you expect a crowd, you inform your neighbors that it can be extra noise, or better yet, invite them to the wire.

have the parking tag

do not block to go and Park in front of your House to your neighbour if you can. If you drive a large car or a motorcycle ride don't rev the engine and try to avoid shining your lights in the window of your neighbor.

at the end of the day, treat others as you wish to treat. "Most people are reasonable and I want to just be treated with kindness and respect," says Ariana Doakes of Castro Media Corp. "A little of which goes a long way with its neighbours."
